Kris Cristiano

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | EMDR Trained | CSAT - Certified Sex Addiction Therapist  | Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) | Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) | Gottman

About Me

Kris has a Masters in Social Work and she loves the social work lens because she's truly been trained to see the whole person. Mental health is more than one or two items on a checklist. Her clients are not checklists. They are individuals that live in larger systems and each person has a complex story, different values, goals, and ways of seeing the world. Kris works to honor each person's story.

I am so grateful that you are here. Seeking therapy is a courageous and vulnerable step and it shows you have reached a place where you want to heal, grow, and improve. I am always in awe of my clients who put the work into this process. I sincerely feel that therapy is a sacred space and I do everything I can to treat it that way.

My Resume

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), level I. I have received training from Dr. Skinner and the Addo network for betrayal trauma and sexual addiction training. I use various techniques depending on what my clients need. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman, journaling, mindfulness, and many more. A few of the therapists that I utilize in therapy are Brene Brown, Dan Siegel, John Gottman, Sue Johnson, Terry Real, Cloud & Townsend. I love working with adults, adolescents, and couples.
