About Me

My name is Michaela Standhart and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate. Therapy has always been an important part of my life. When I was a child, my mother encouraged my brother and I to attend therapy in order to gain an unbiased perspective on life’s challenges. My own positive experiences in therapy sparked my desire to help others cultivate healthy relationships and live authentically.

My Resume

On a more personal note, I grew up in rural upstate New York. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Elmira College and then my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship dysfunction, and infidelity. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, cooking, and spending time with loved ones and my adorable puppy.
