Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist  | EMDR Trained | Gottman Level 1 and Level 2 Certified  | Sexual Recovery Therapy | Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

About Me

I chose a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist because I truly believe that we

experience the most profound and beautiful life experiences in the context of

relationships; however, meaningful connections can also bring a lot of pain and complex

emotions, and therapy can help you navigate through those rough waters and help you

find personal and relational growth. I enjoy helping people explore their feelings,

behaviors, and patterns so they may truly discover who they are. Although I tailor

therapeutic interventions to fit each client's needs, my main theoretical framework is

based on attachment theory, family systems theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy. As

a therapist, I believe that understanding family patterns, repairing attachment injuries,

and learning to have more adaptive thoughts are essential to healing and creating

lasting change.

I am a therapist who challenges clients to truly explore their emotions, and my

commitment to you is to always be honest and direct. Sometimes we all need a little

support and I am here to help you and your family through difficult emotions, so you can

enjoy your relationships and achieve high personal fulfillment. I believe in human

resilience and people's ability to heal. No matter what you are going through, I am here

to help you.

I was born and raised in Brazil, and moved to the United States for college. Since then, I

have lived in multiple states and treated clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

Multicultural relationships are a huge part of my personal life and I am passionate about

working with clients who find themselves in similar positions. Culture does not have to

mean “from a different country”; within the United States, there is a multitude of beautiful

diversity to explore too. I am fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and I can offer

therapy in any of those languages. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my

husband and my 2 Aussies as well as dancing and performing Samba, which allows me

to stay connected to my culture.
